My name is Christine Dien and welcome to my Honors portfolio! Follow me on my undergraduate journey as I explore the biological sciences and bake to my heart's (and stomach's) content! I am passionate about learning how to use computer science to answer biological questions.
I am also a huge proponent of improving accessibility of biological information through teaching effective science communication and data visualization. I am invested in creating more diversity in computational biology for underrepresented communities. It is important to inspire youth minorities and to show them the real faces of scientists.
I am studying Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with a minor in Data Science. Throughout my four years at the UW, I have become a better scholar, a more ethical researcher, and started lifelong friendships with inspiring people. I am excited to share my undergraduate experience through this portfolio.
